Happy New Year!

Hi everyone and anyone who may be reading this!

First things first; I hope you all had a Happy [insert the holiday you celebrate here]!  I had a really great Christmas with my family.  And I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's Eve as well.

That's about really it for now.  I do plan on taking photography more seriously; I just have to figure out how.  My camera goes where ever I go; I have it with me about 95% of the time.  I just never know what to take pictures of.  I love taking portrait pictures of my sister because she's so photogenic, but she doesn't like the way she looks in pictures and it's pretty much pulling teeth with her trying to get her to let me do pictures.  I love all the snow on the ground right now, and I would LOVE to do an outdoor shoot with my friend's daughter.. but they moved almost two years ago, and they're not anywhere near close anymore.  So that's not happening either.  But enough!  No complaining!  Complaining isn't going to change things or get anything done!  I'll figure things out.  I've got this.

2013 is gonna be my year.  I hope.

Nail Polish - 12/3/12

I painted my nails for the first time in ages tonight, then decided it was necessary to play with the nail polish when I finished. I liked watching in drip down back into the container, so pictures were necessary.  I think they came out pretty cool.  Used my little panasonic lumix.  Have I mentioned before how much I love this little camera?

Nicole - 11/21/12

My sister got home from college for Thanksgiving break today, and while we were at our grandparents' house I took a few pictures of her.  Since we were at our grandparents' house, I got to use my grandfather's camera -- a Nikon D40.  It's my favorite to take pictures with! :)

Devorah - 11/11/12

A surprisingly nice day outside today.  It's November, in Upstate New York, and it's in the high 60's outside.    My friend Devorah and I did a shoot here at school, with my Panasonic Lumix camera.  Pictures were then edited in PSP 9 (a program somewhat similar to photoshop).  As always, click the pictures to see them bigger.  :)

Beach/Sunset - 10/26/12

Back at the end of October, we had a REALLY nice day.  It was so warm outside, and the sun was shining.  It was beautiful; I love fall here in Upstate NY.

My roommate, one of our friends, and I went to a beach, where I took a few sunset pictures.  We were going to go hiking, but it was too dark.  As usual, these pictures were taken with my Panasonic Lumix, then edited in PSP 9 (a program kind of similar to photoshop).

I'm still using my Panasonic Lumix for photography at the moment, as I'm still up at school.  It's been over a month since I last posted anything on here, so I wanted to post a few pictures I've taken up here at school.

Sara - 9/1/2012

I'm back up at school now, which means back to only using my camera (instead of my grandfather's camera or my aunt's camera).  I guess I probably shouldn't complain; for what it is, mine really does take some pretty good pictures.

About a week ago, September 1st (so, actually only 5 days ago), I was hanging out with my friend Sara.  She's gorgeous, and so photogenic, so while she was playing with my guitar, I took these couple of pictures. As always, click them to see the bigger versions of them.  The last one, I was playing around with PSP (a program somewhat similar to photoshop) and that was the result.  I actually really love how it came out.

Not too bad for just a little digital camera. :)

Shawn and Sara - 8/15/2012

I spent a few days at my aunt's house and took some pictures of my cousins using her Nikon Coolpix L810 camera.  The camera has pretty good reviews online, but I honestly didn't like it that much.  I'd much rather use my grandfather's Nikon D40.

I took nearly 50 pictures of them; these are the ones I think came out the best.
